Turn a printed question paper into a CBT test
Most exams are now taken on a computer, but practice papers still come as booklets and PDFs. Paper2Test turns that paper - photos of the printed pages or the PDF - into a computer based test (CBT) with the same screen you will see in the exam: timer, question palette, mark for review, sections and negative marking.
How it works
Photograph or upload the paper
Take a clear photo of each page with your phone, or upload the PDF. English, Hindi, other Indian languages and bilingual papers work.
Check what was read
Questions, options, maths and diagrams are read for you. Fix anything on the review screen and add or confirm the answer key.
Start the CBT
Set the time and marking, then take it yourself or share a link, code or QR. Results, ranks and answer sheets come in as soon as students submit.
Why turn a paper into a CBT before the exam?
Solving a printed paper is different from answering on a screen. In a CBT you move between questions with the palette, mark some for review, watch a clock in the corner and lose marks for wrong guesses. Practising in that screen removes the surprise on exam day.
SSC CGL, CHSL and MTS, IBPS and SBI PO and Clerk, RRB NTPC and Group D and many state exams are computer based. Turning the papers you already have into CBT practice is the cheapest way to get used to it.
What kind of paper works?
Printed booklets photographed with a phone, scanned PDFs, typed PDFs and papers in Hindi, English, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati and other languages, including bilingual papers with both languages on the page. Up to 80 pages on a paid plan.
Typed PDFs are read straight away and do not use AI. Photos and scans are read with AI page by page; blurred or cut pages can be photographed again one at a time.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert a question paper into a CBT test?
Sign in at paper2test.app, upload photos of each page or the PDF, check the questions, set the time and marking, and start the test or share its code. Students join free with a Google sign-in.
Does the CBT look like the SSC and banking exam screen?
It has the same parts: a timer, a question palette with answered, not answered and marked-for-review colours, save and next, sections and auto-submit at the end of the time.
Can I add negative marking?
Yes. Set marks for right and wrong answers for the whole paper or per section, and section-wise time limits if the exam has them.
Is it free?
Your first paper is free and students always take tests free.
Can a teacher share the CBT with a class?
Yes. Share a link, a 6-letter code or a QR code. You see every score, rank and answer sheet, and can export them to Excel.
Have a question paper on your desk?
Snap photos with your phone or drop in a PDF. You get a shareable link, code and QR.
