Google Forms alternative

A Google Forms alternative made for mock tests

Google Forms is great for surveys and quick quizzes. A mock test needs more: a countdown that submits the paper, negative marking, sections, maths and figures, Hindi + English and a rank list. Paper2Test does all of that, and builds the test from the PDF you already have instead of you retyping every question.

Google Forms details as of October 2026. Google Forms remains the simpler choice for surveys, sign-ups, feedback and short untimed quizzes.

When to use which

Use Google Forms for registrations, feedback and short practice quizzes where time and negative marks do not matter.

Use Paper2Test when the test should feel like the real exam - SSC, Banking, Railways, NDA, JEE, NEET or your own class test - with a timer, negative marking and a rank list, or when the questions are already in a PDF or printed paper.

Frequently asked questions

Does Google Forms have negative marking?

No. Points in a Google Forms quiz cannot be negative, so a wrong answer cannot cost marks. In Paper2Test you set any marks for right and wrong answers, per section if the paper has sections.

Can Google Forms set a time limit on a quiz?

Not by itself - teachers use third-party add-ons. Paper2Test has a built-in timer that submits the paper when time runs out, with optional section-wise timers.

Can I make a test from a question paper I already have?

Yes. Upload the PDF or photos of the pages, or paste the questions as text. Paper2Test reads the questions, options, diagrams and answer key, and you check them before sharing.

Do students need an account?

No. Students open the link or enter the 6-letter code, type their name and start.

Is Paper2Test free like Google Forms?

Students always take tests free. Your first paper is free with up to 200 students per test; after that paper packs start at Rs 19 per paper.
